Original prototype live performance for prepared vinyl records,
analog synthesizers, electric instruments, percussions and motion images.
Matteo Scaioli plays live analog synthesizers without any computer,
his personal system suna-trig, various types of percussion instruments
and electronic custom setups, some of which are custom made.

The neologism-title suggests an interpretation of the entire artistic process:
Foley is the art of live reproducing all those sounds that chorally contribute to the sound realism
and acoustic comfort in modern cinema; Mandala finally describes and defines the industriousness,
symbolism and spirituality that characterize the entire performance, evoking also a complex
and fluid structural circularity, fil rouge of the whole represented experience.

Music fulcrum is an original sound generation system array built with several gramophones,
prepared and sorted by age and functional typology, used toghether or individually as polyphonic source,
mutable and multifaceted, on which musical scores and visual imagery harmonize.

On gramophones and turntables was invited Claudio Coccoluto, famous and undisputed master of the
analog DJing on vinyl with which Matteo has already collaborated on several live performances.
Together, through a careful and meticulous real time sound manipulation, they build the
chameleonic musical and sound texture of the entire performance.

David Loom devise original images and stage lights, live processed with a personal control system
(lumodesk) part of which is a specially built turntable with specific optic head
for reading hand-drawn cardboard visual discs.
